An outstanding opportunity for an experienced brand building product marketer to contribute to the ongoing success of the SmartPak Canine division. Reporting to the General Manager of the Canine division, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for brand development across our food, supplement and supplies lines, as well as for all canine advertising, public relations, events and other messaging in our multi-channel direct environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing programs that increase brand identity
- Develop marketing strategy for new products including positioning, pricing and packaging, and oversee launch execution
- Manage advertising including strategy and creative brief development, copy, commercial production and media planning
- Plan and execute promotion functions including pricing, events and performance tracking
- Analyze the performance of the brand including trends, competitive activity, and profitability
- Provide direction to the sales team on marketing strategies
Qualifications:
- 5+ years highly relevant experience – pet food, brand management, consumer products
- Proven success in core aspects of marketing – advertising, research, consumer behavior and strategy
- Self motivated and able to work multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Articulate and very analytical
- Results oriented with a high level of creativity
- MBA preferred
- Dog lovers preferred!
